New President for Ming Yang

China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited, a leading wind turbine manufacturer in China, has announced the appointment of Jianren Wen as president of the company. He succeeded Xueyong Zhao who resigned on October 10, 2014. The appointment is with immediate effect.

Wen has over 20-year experience in electricity and electrical equipment industry and is familiar with Ming Yang's operation and management. He served as a senior engineer and vice president of Zhongshan Mingyang Electric, a company controlled by Chuanwei Zhang, Chairman and CEO of Ming Yang, from 1995 to 2005, and President of Mingyang Electric from 2007 till now.

"We would like to welcome Mr. Wen to Ming Yang's management team," said Zhang. "We believe that his wealth of experience will reinforce the Company's strengths and competitiveness by providing valuable insight and guidance."

According to preliminary statistics from the Chinese Wind Energy Association (CWEA), China's new wind installations reached approximately 23.35GW in 2014, with an increase of 45.1 percent from 2013.

According to the statistics, Ming Yang consolidated third position in terms of the newly installed capacity in China in 2014, with an increase of approximately 1 percent from 2013 in the market share of China's total newly installed capacity.

"Based on our current delivering schedule and our order backlog, we feel confident to further reinforce our market share in China in 2015," said Zhang. "Leveraging our unique advantages of offshore engineering solutions, we expect Ming Yang to acquire a larger market share in the offshore regime in 2015."

Ming Yang produces advanced, highly adaptable wind turbines with high energy output and provides customers with comprehensive post-sales services. Ming Yang cooperates with aerodyne Energiesysteme, one of the world's leading wind turbine design firms based in Germany, to co-develop wind turbines. In terms of newly installed capacity, Ming Yang was a top 10 wind turbine manufacturer worldwide and the largest non-state owned wind turbine manufacturer in China in 2013.
