The 54’ x 24’ x 7’9” (5’4” draft) hull is constructed of 3/8” plate, with 1/2" bilge knuckles and stern plates. Power is by two Caterpillar C-18 Tier 2 engines with Twin Disc MGX-5222 4:09 to 1 gears turning 4-1/2” shafts with 52” x 40” four blade Nibral Propellers furnished by HS Marine Propulsion.
Two John Deere 4045 DFM70A and Lima/Mac light plants furnish electric power. Six - “0 Knot” Fernstrum Coolers provide cooling for the engines.
Heavy duty Schuyler fenders surround the vessel including the towknee facings. Steel rods direct-connect the pilot house levers to activate Gresen hydraulic valves on the aft deck controlling four flanking and two main rudders.
Hydraulic pumps are driven by electric motors. ECM-300 electronics control engine and gear operations.
Carlisle Finch furnished one 500 watt Xenon and one 19” incandescent searchlight and Wintech International furnished two 40 ton winches.
The entire vessel was sandblasted and painted with International Paint’s 2-part epoxy system. The fully operational vessel will be delivered to the Luhr Bros. Paducah office before year end.
