Romanian authorities have reported that they extinguished a serious fire on a docked cargo vessel near the Black Sea city of Constanta.

The Panama-registered ship FGM Europe caught ablaze early Monday morning in Midia-Navodari, a small port north of Constanta.  The ship, undergoing repairs, was caught in a raging fire for six hours before firefighters were able to put it out.

A spokesman from the port, Catalin Arteni, told a news agency that there are no victims of the event and that the cause of the blaze has not been established.
