Man Pleas Guilty to Sexually Assaulting 13-Yr-Old Girl on Cruise

The Rochester Democrat reported Monday, that Lucas G. Wickes, 25, of New York plead guilty in federal court to abusive sexual contact with a 13-yr-old girl.

The crime is a felony and carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

In January 2007 Wickes engaged in sexual conduct with the 13-yr-old after the Disney Wonder left Port Canaveral, FL for a cruise in the Caribbean.

A criminal complaint reports that Wickes ran into the girl as she left a teen club on the ship and he ordered her to come with him. The girl says she believed he was a security officer and followed him to the rear of the ship where she was assaulted.

Wickes told federal agents that he had sexual contact with the girl but said that it was consensual and that he believed she was 17.
