2 Filipino Seamen Missing After Ship Accident

Two Filipino seafarers are missing after their ship sank Monday., the Department of Foreign Affairs states Tuesday.

The Dutch Coast Guard has been searching for the missing seaman after its collision with Texel 68, a fishing trawler, at the North Sea.

The ship was deployed to guard an oil drilling platform about 40 kilometers southwest of Den Helder, a navy port that occupies the north Holland peninsula.  

Of the five crewman, two had been rescued.  Three are still missing, including the two Filipinos.

The Dutch Coast Guard continues to search and conduct rescue operations to find the missing men.
