ZPMC-OTL Marine Contractor Ltd. (ZOMC) is pleased to announce the successful transportation of the Ex-Machinist (AFDB-8), an 883ft x 174ft drydock on board M/V Zhen Hua 28. Upon signing of the contract, ZOMC’s engineering team shifted into overdrive to ensure that the integrity of the cargo and heavy transportation vessel would be suitable for the motions for the route from Guam to Shanghai.

Davina Shields of AIS Singapore played a key role in facilitating the best possible combination of timing of the loading for ZOMC and Guam Shipyards.

Dr. Wei Ye, ZOMC President, commented, “The ZH 28, a semi-submersible heavy lift vessel, was in perfect position to provide a safe and cost effective transportation solution for the drydock. Our ability to provide 24 hour high quality engineering and on-site engineering support in Guam ensured that the drydock could be transported safely and within budget.”

ZPMC-OTL Marine Contractor Ltd. (ZOMC) is a strategic joint venture between ZPMC Offshore Services Group and OffshoreTech LLC.
