Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas reported numerous passengers onboard complaining of a gastrointestinal illness during a cruise. In total, 54 guests and 10 members of the crew fell ill.

The sickness was thought to be Norovirus, and they were all treated with over-the-counter medication aboard the ship.

That cruise ended Saturday, returning to Port Everglades. Cruise line officials stated that the ship was thoroughly sanitized and set sail again that same day as scheduled. It is now on a 7-day trip through the western Caribbean.
