NAUTIS Integrated DP & Offshore Simulators on Show at the Offshore Technology Conference 2011
VSTEP’s NAUTIS Maritime Simulators will be featuring at selected client booths during the OTC2011 in Houston, Texas. These clients have chosen NAUTIS because of its realism, visual quality, affordability and user friendliness.
The OTC 2011 is hosted from 2-5th May 2011 at Reliant Park in Houston and is the world’s foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection. The OTC 2011 will be a venue for more than 2000 exhibitors from over 110 countries and attracts more than 65.000 visitors.
The NAUTIS range of maritime training simulators allows captains to experience and train the handling of OSVs with different types of propulsion systems during offshore operations. The simulated OSVs are available with a conventional propulsion system or with 360-degree azimuth thrusters. Trainees can use the built-in DP system and control the vessel with a joystick. Interfacing with third party DP systems from Marine Technologies, L-3, Navis, Converteam and many others is possible. NAUTIS includes an easy to use set of instructor tools to prepare and control maneuvering exercises, multi-party rig move operations and finetune ship maneuvering parameters.
VSTEP offers integrated solutions for offshore training combining NAUTIS software with different hardware configurations, to suit client budget and training requirements.
