Delivery of the first vessel will be in nineteen months with follow-on vessels to be delivered in five months increments thereafter. These “Tiger Shark” Series vessels are approximately 5650 DWT and are well suited for world-wide operations, meeting all of the latest Marpol and IMO regulations. These vessels are classed by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) A1, AMS, ACCU, Circle E, FIFI 1, DP2, UWILD and ENVIRO + Certifications. Equipped with a Converteam supplied diesel electric propulsion system with Schottel Z-drives rated for a total propulsion output of 5000KW with overall power provided by four (4) Cummins QSK60M diesel generators rated at 1825KW each, these vessels have been engineered to provide Harvey Gulf with fully integrated, fully automated Offshore Support Vessels.

These new vessels for Harvey Gulf will follow-on the heels of a third 260’ x 60’x 19’6” DP2 Offshore Support Vessel, the HARVEY CARRIER currently being built by Eastern and scheduled for delivery in June. The previous two sister vessels were the very successful HARVEY SPIRIT and the HARVEY SUPPLIER. The engineering and design work for all of these vessels have been produced through the efforts of Harvey Gulf and Eastern personnel, as well as Eastern’s design agent, STX Europe of Vancouver, Canada.

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. of Panama City, Florida has been in business since 1976 building, converting and repairing vessels in steel and aluminum of all types including tugs, barges, support vessels, firefighting, crew vessels, barges, ferries, fishing vessels and towboats.
