Second Annual International Maritime eLearning Symposium

The 2nd Annual International Maritime eLearning Symposium will be hosted at the campus of the Calhoon MEBA Engineering School in Easton, MD.

The Conference begins on July 20th with half and full-day workshops, followed on July 21st and 22nd by the Symposium Opening Keynote Address, Presentations and Exhibits, and will conclude with our special Keynote Speaker at a getaway Breakfast Buffet on Friday morning, July 23rd. The conference will bring Shipping Company Executives, Maritime Regulators, Training Administrators, and Faculty from around the world to discuss and experience the latest trends and technologies in eLearning for the maritime industry. Last year's attendees learned the current state of maritime training online and were able to network with other training providers and shipping executives in an open atmosphere of information exchange.

Conference Opening Keynote Address

A Comprehensive Review of the STCW Convention. Join Ms. Mayte Medina, Chief, Maritime Personnel Qualifications Division, after her return from the Manila IMO Diplomatic Conference in June where they will have adopted a revised STCW Convention and Code.

Conference Closing Keynote Address

Proposed Rulemaking, Implementation of the 1995 Amendments to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978. Join Mr. Robert Smith, Chief, Mariner Training & Assessment Division NMC-2, as we close the Conference with a Friday Breakfast Buffet Discussion

A Full Day presented by Det Norske Veritas on Quality Standards System for Maritime Training Institutions

A Two Day blended 'Clicks and Bricks' Workshop on Adobe Captivate 4 (1.2 CEUs) presented by Westlake Training (http://www.westlaketraining.com). The First Day is delivered by a Virtual Classroom and the Second Day on-site at the Conference
