Globe Wireless, a leading provider of communications, operational and IT solutions to the maritime industry, today announced that NSB will standardize 85 vessels of their fleet with the Globe iFusion system. Each vessel will be equipped with a Globe i250, a backup FB150, Globe Wireless’ Fixed Multiple Lines, GlobeMobile and GlobeSSAS.
NSB selected Globe iFusion as a result of Globe’s existing relationship and strong reputation as a leading maritime communications provider along with being an innovator in maritime communications solutions. With enhanced crew solutions, the Globe iFusion system enables multiple calls using Globe’s unique Digital Quality Voice (DQV) technology on both the GSM and VoIP phones allowing up to 5 inbound and outbound calls over DQV.
Cornelis Alberts, Head of Strategic Purchasing for NSB said, “By installing the Globe iFusion system with Fixed Multiple Lines, GlobeMobile and GlobeSSAS, we will be standardizing satellite communications across our entire fleet, providing a total solution for our business and crew services. In addition, the remote management support that Globe iFusion gives us the ability to provide remote IT support with expanded functionality to our fleet.”
Dave Kagan, President & CEO of Globe Wireless, commented “The level of integration and functionality of the Globe iFusion system is far superior to what other terminals can offer. We have been supplying NSB with communication solutions since 1999 and are excited to extend our strong partnership, and very grateful for their business.”
