The U.S. divisions of Norway’s Rapp Marine Group have just added a new member to their team. Mark Jessup, newly hired to assume responsibilities in Marketing and Sales Support for both Rapp Hydema US and Rapp Hydra Pro, has been involved in the deck machinery and marine crane industry for over 35 years. For 33 of those years, Jessup worked for a major supplier of high-pressure hydraulic systems and controls, with a particular focus on the major deck machinery manufacturers located on the Western Coast of the United States.
In 2011, Jessup left the fluid power industry to join Markey Machinery, another Seattle-based deck machinery manufacturer. During his tenure there, Jessup was responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing approach in support of the company’s sales efforts, including implementing a new website, new catalogs and product brochures, as well as authoring a number of technical presentations, magazine articles, and a series of videos introducing new products. He was also involved in sales activities in support of numerous projects.
“Mark comes to us with a number of skill sets that we can use” said Reed Okawa, Sales Manager for Rapp Hydra Pro. ”It isn’t very often that someone comes in the door who can wear marketing, sales, technical support, and fluid power engineering hats all at the same time. Needless to say, he’s going to be pretty busy.”
