VIKAND Appoints Several New Management Positions

Ms. Crystol Lasley was appointed to Vice President, Medical Services, Dr. Bill Heymann, to Chief Medical Officer, Len Quist to Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Wesley Echevarria to Manager of the Yachts division. Lasley, Heymann and Quist are well associated with the company while Wesley Echevarria is a new team member.

VIKAND is a medical management company providing consulting and management services, medical equipment calibration and audit contracts, credentialing of personnel and more to 80 cruise ships globally.

VIKAND provides more focus on regulation and consolidation and raises the demand for expertise and guidance among cruise and yachting owners and operators globally. The brand has become synonymous with quality, service and excellence.

Bill Heymann, MD FACEP and Crystol Lasey, RN BSN have been a part of the medical team at VIKAND since the initial establishment as MHG Medical Management Services in 2010. Dr. Heymann is the Chairman and cofounder for the American College of Emergency Physicians Cruise Medicine Section. He has served as a medical consultant for numerous cruise lines over the past 30 years and practiced as a critical care and emergency physician at the University of Miami Hospital.

Prior to her positions as manager and director of medical services at VIKAND, Ms. Crystol Lasley served as Supervisor of Crew Medical Services and New Hire Physicals Program for Carnival Cruise Lines.

Len Quist brings more than 30 years of experience working for both multinational and emerging companies in general management and sales planning. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and has a long track record of implementing successful marketing strategies.

“Prior to my previous role as Director of Operations for VIKAND, I worked closely with Peter and the VIKAND team as a consultant performing business and financial planning”, said Len Quist who has been associated with the company over the past three years.

Wesley Echevarria has over 25 years of experience in providing emergency patient care on both land and sea and is known for his long-standing achievements in the Technical Rescue team at Broward County Fire Rescue Department. Wesley has held senior management positions in medical services companies serving the yachting community and the community at large.

“We are very excited to meet the growing need of our services in the yachting community in which Wesley will play a crucial role”, said Peter Hult. Hult further emphasized that the growing VIKAND crew look forward to introduce a number of new services, imply standards and continuing raising the bar for medical safety in the maritime community.
