U.S. Shipping Corp Receives 2013 Devlin Awards

U.S. Shipping Corp (USSC) received the 2013 Jones F. Devlin Award for Safety from the Chamber of
Shipping of America (CSA) for the company’s safety record during the CSA’s 2014 Annual Safety Awards luncheon in New Orleans, LA. The CSA represents U.S. based companies that own, operate or charter oceangoing tank, container, or dry bulk vessels engaged in both the domestic and international trades and companies that maintain a commercial interest in the operation of such oceangoing vessels. Five of seven of USSC’s vessels received the award achieving the equivalent of 26 years of service without a Lost Time Incident.

“Safety is the cornerstone of our company’s culture and we are honored to see our crews recognized for their safety accomplishments,” said USSC President and CEO, Michael Ryan.

USSC is a leading provider of long?haul marine transportation services principally for refined petroleum, petrochemical and commodity chemical products in the U.S. domestic coastwise trade. The company is based in Edison, New Jersey and maintains a fleet of seven Jones Act vessels.
