Goltens Worldwide announced the opening of its new full service facility in Houston, Texas. Following months of planning and machinery and equipment installation, Goltens full service repair facility is operational and ready to support customer requirements.

Predicated on a desire to be closer to the expanding customer base in the U.S. Gulf, Goltens Houston is an important component of the group’s strategy to move toward high demand, long-term growth oriented markets where Goltens can service a broader customer base. As the largest port in the U.S., with a broad cross section of offshore, merchant, petrochemical and industrial customers, Goltens can readily support clients in a more immediate and efficient manner. Goltens has invested heavily and will continue to scale up operations to make this one of the flagship operations in Goltens’ global portfolio of companies.

The new location is focused on delivering Goltens’ core specialized diesel engine, in-situ machining and green technologies services portfolio. The facility has a broad range of large-scale workshop machining equipment to support reconditioning and overhaul operations, and a growing team of highly skilled diesel engine service engineers and specialists that Goltens has become known for globally.

Leading the operation as General Manager for Goltens Houston is industry veteran Mark Evans. Evans is a seasoned maritime executive with over 20 years of experience supporting the marine services industry, working in progressively higher technical management and executive positions within Wärtsilä and most recently Rolls-Royce Marine.

“We are very excited to launch Goltens Houston and to have Mark join at its helm,” commented Roy Strand, Goltens Worldwide Chief Operating Officer. “Goltens relies on its senior management to build high trust relationships and partnerships with customers and to ensure that our quality standards and commitment to minimizing asset downtime for our customers are met. Mark has an excellent track record, deep knowledge of the industry and local market, and the deep technical expertise to ensure Goltens Houston meets the standards that customers have come to rely on Goltens for globally. We are confident that Mark will make Goltens Houston the preferred service partner for local and international customers in the US Gulf.”

Goltens’ new workshop facility is located within two miles from the Port of Houston at 7214 Clinton Drive in Houston, Texas.
