Fassmer Completes Ninth Set of Lifeboats for T-AO Tankers

Fassmer Service America LLC proudly announces the completion of its ninth set of lifeboats for U.S. Military Sealift Command's T-AO fleet. Pictured above are four Fassmer CLRT (Closed Lifeboat Rigid Tanker) 9.4-meter, 69-person lifeboats. This set is for the USNS Pecos (T-AO-197), and will replace the ship's current aging lifeboats. 

These boats are equipped with a 10 minute supply of breathing air for the engine and passengers, along with an integral seawater spray system to cover the entire boat. This will allow the lifeboat to drive through burning oil to safely deliver the passengers away from the vessel.
