Third Statoil Employee Confirmed Dead Following Terrorist Attack
Today, Statoil received the unfortunate news that another one of thier employees who has been missing since the terrorist attack at In Aménas in Algeria, has been confirmed dead.
The deceased is Hans M. Bjone, 55 years old, and resident in Brandbu, Norway.
Earlier today, Statoil was informed that Tore Bech, aged 58, resident in Bergen, Norway and Thomas Snekkevik, aged 35, resident in Austrheim/Bergen, Norway, were confirmed dead.
“We are a company in mourning. Our thoughts and sympathies go first and foremost to the families and close friends who have lost loved ones in the horrific and senseless attack on innocent people,” says CEO Helge Lund.
Two Statoil employees are still missing after the terrorist attack which began on 16 January.
