Solar Solve Customers Appreciate 3 Rivers Offer

UKD Orca

Over the last 3 months a number of Solar Solve Marine customers took advantage of one of the company’s many USP’s.

In these cases, it was free measuring and fitting for vessels visiting North East England.  Solar Solve offers a FREE – NO OBLIGATION measuring and quotation service for SOLASOLV and ROLASOLV Type Approved sunscreens and roller blinds, to vessels berthed in the three rivers, Tyne, Wear or Tees.  Any orders that are placed automatically qualify for FREE FITTING at the same location.

UK Dredging had a vessel, UKD ORCA, in the A&P yard in Middlesbrough that needed 5 existing solar blinds, not Solar Solve products, replacing whilst the vessel was in for repairs.  The windows were measured up and the job quoted for on Tuesday 13 September and a fitting team returned to the yard on Friday morning 16th September to remove the existing screens and install 5 SOLASAFE anti-glare roller sunscreens that have a 7-year guarantee.

One month later UK Dredging placed another order, this time for the vessel CHERRY SAND with a similar 3-Rivers super service.

Danish ferry operator DFDS Seaways run a ferry service from the River Tyne to Amsterdam and they also took advantage of the 3-Rivers USP for their 1300 passenger cruise ferry PRINCESS SEAWAYS.  The vessel returns to the River Tyne every other day and so on turnaround-visits the windows were measured during one visit and then the 11 SOLASAFE roller sunscreens were installed during another visit.

Julie Lightfoot, Solar Solve Marine’s Managing Director commented, “We offer a world-wide measuring and installation service.  However, our products are designed so that they can be easily measured and installed by a vessel’s crew, so the demand for the service is not great.  Our team of window blind technicians spend most of their time in the factory manufacturing the products but one way we can keep their installation skills perfected is through this very successful 3-Rivers USP.”

“It also allows us to offer a special North East England welcome to the many vessels that visit our area every year.  We are always very pleased to see them.”
