Orion Marine Concepts, the provider of software and services for the Maritime industry announces the launch of “O-VIS”, a new software tool that is designed to standardize data collection for owners and manager’s routine vessel audits and inspections.
O-VIS (Orion’s Vessel Inspection System), is a digital tool that can control the quality, consistency and efficiency of data collection by utilizing standard industry and company specific procedures and guidelines.
The assigned ‘inspector’ completes a series of pre-defined questions on the electronic system and at the end, based on the answers, multiple reports and analysis can be generated and shared for deficiency listing, tracking, analysis and fleet sharing.
Company can deploy their standard audit template in O-VIS for inspectors to complete the inspections and create reports in a standardized format across the fleet.
O-VIS is designed to communicate with Orion’s Q-Strata product platform, which maintains the company’s KPIs with history of external, internal audits, inspections and incidents recorded within the fleet. This means that customers who use one or both products, realize the benefits of automated data transfer from O-VIS to Q-STRATA.
This will improve the quality of data entry and reduce the costs and risks normally associated with manual data entry resulting in an efficient and pro-active methodology leading to proficient monitoring of the fleet performance.
O-VIS is offered as a standalone web browser-based application with a dashboard and integration with the Q-STRATA on cloud.
